"Helpful host, good breakfast and ideally situated. Parking on the road next to guest house, permit available through host. Only downside was the room and bathroom were very small, with a sloping roof. Having said that we would go back, just ask not to have that room."

"Following three failed attempts to check in on arrival due to an unmanned desk, the rest of the stay was excellent, mostly down to the wonderful Sunny whom ensured our stay was comfortable and with plenty of supplies due to the weather conditions. The only downside was a faulty light in our room which constantly flashed on and off during the night which disturbed our sleep a little. We reported it twice, hoping for repair or a change of room but it was a weekend so no maintenance was available...

"Fabulous stay from start to finish. Easy to park at the back of the hotel and bus into centre of York. Handy wine bar opposite the hotel plus a convenience store. Breakfast delicious. Will definitely return on my next trip to York. "

"I had only spent one night in this property on a one-day trip to Scarborough. I was disappointed that my single room was facing the street rather then the North Sea; my private bathroom was also separate from my room, which was a bit inconvenient - but it had an excellent beach view. I struggled a bit with door lock too. However I had a sink in my room, I had access to an electric kettle, cups, coffee/tea/bottled water and towels/soap (no toiletries though) and it was pleasantly quiet in the...

"Yes it was ok for a nights sleep. Not the ritz but much cheaper than others. I struggled a little getting door lock codes but I would stay again as it worked ok for us."

"Greeted by a lovely receptionist who gave lots of information about the stay. Nice modern room with aircon and a nice size shower. The bed was on the hard size for me. I can see why the room came with earplugs two packs would have been nice since I had to give them to my partner so I was left hearing others move about. Nice not to worry about parking. Will stay again."

"Great place for a short stay. Clean & good facilities bit of confusion over payment…. Thought paid up front but hotel said not… so this is main reason for 4 not 5. Also close to late night pubs/ clubs…. So if you’re wanting to go to see early… probably not the place for you as the music can be quite loud. However, not an issue for us & slept really well. Ultimately good value for money & would stay again."

"The location is fabulous, the apartment is fantastic and amenities great. The beds were not great, very uncomfortable. They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay. Staff were very friendly and helpful."
