"Great location. In need of a quiet lounge. Rooms at the back a bit noisy in tge evening as they are above the lively Pickked Sprout and adjacent to other restaurants and bars."

"The old swan is central for the pump room,valley park and near to Betty's tearoom and the shops. Breakfast was excellent. Pity the lift was temporarily broken,had to use stairs."

"Lovely Stay, this time we got a room in the Annex & it was very quiet & a lovely, exceptionally clean room. Breakfast on this visit was a little disappointing. Replenishment was very slow, several people waiting fir long periods for food to come out. My breakfast was cold due to waiting eggs, bread came & was white only & frozen. Improvements & attention is needed here as clearly several guests were getting frustrated. Everything otherwise was 100% perfect. We’ll be back again"

"I had a lovely stay at Bramble cottage. Everything was perfect for me. Cottage had everything I needed, very clean and warm. Dawn was very helpful and lovely to chat to and responded quickly to what I needed. The welcome touches of milk, tea bags , biscuits, fruit and flowers is very thoughtful .Loved the laundry room everything dried so quickly.Great to have your own parking space.Thank you for a lovely stay hoping to be back next year."

"A good hotel, better organisation around check in time would improve ratings, the bed was reasonably comfortable, however the pillows are as comfortable as a park bench , i didnt sleep very well at all, there were two pilliws each, but they were all rather firm. Breakfast was good, plenty choice from cereal , toast, fruit , full english cooked breakfast as well as pancakes etc from the table menu, but there was a 25min wait for those at our time of eating which was @ 9am. Fresh coffee was very nice. "
