"We had a lovely experience staying in Sakuya hotel. The owners were very kind and helpful, offered us shuttle van to go to town. Offered us private onsen which was very relaxing. Rooms were futon bed with a view of Mt Fuji, breakfast was so yum. Would definitely come next time. "

"The hotel is a little dated, decore-wise, but everything is very clean and the Onsen are very nice (we're first time users). Staff are very helpful! Would stay here again."

"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"We stayed in the Japanese style Tatami room - it was m partner's favourite accomodation in Japan. It was spacious, with three rooms. It was very clean and everything we needed was provided. The owner warmly welcomed us upon check-in and then left us to our adventures (which is our preference). Would definitely stay here again."

"Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"Check in was a little sketchy, I struggled to find the right door at first and keypad. And when I got into my room, I didn't realize the door would lock behind me when I left. I closed the door to go to the bathroom downstairs and luckily I had my phone on me with my code, but if I had locked my phone in my room without my code I would've been in a really bad spot since there is no receptionist or on-site staff. "I had an incredible room regardless of Fuji-San hiding during my stay, the view of the hills and lake was breathtaking. Lovely Staff. The onsen was wonderful. The Obaasan’s at breakfast were so kind and hardworking. This was my favourite food in Japan so far! The staff at the desk were kind and helpful.
