Located perfectly between Killington and Woodstock. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. Probably one of the cleanest motels I’ve ever stayed in, would definitely recommend. 」

「My family of 3 stay here about every six weeks. We have been staying at the 506 for about 8 years now. While we love the location, the staff at breakfast, and the pool/hot tub, the shared spaces during this visit seemed worn, not the cleanest and the number of staff was sparse. They have increased their prices since the new owners took over about a year ago and although they’ve updated the rooms with paint, new linens, decor, it seems the family vibes and familiarity are non-existent. 」

「The Shire is in a wonderful location and I would recommend for a short stay. They are in the midst of a renovation and the rooms and exterior are nice and well kept. My only issue was that the coffee bars were not well stocked all the time with the same variety and the ice machine was not well stocked as it ran out of water to produce ice during our 2 night stay. Otherwise, the place and location is wonderful.」

「The room was clean, quiet and large. The King bed was really comfy. There was an odd amount of open space in the room that felt empty. There could have easily fit a table and extra seating or a couch. The shower didn’t have much pressure and the temperature kept fluctuating on its own. Other than that, it was a decent stay without any frills.」

「Generally speaking, the hotel was ok. I probably should have brought my own pillow. People there were very friendly. Breakfast area was clean. 」

「The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The amenities were much appreciated. However, although there was a sign that said they were remodeling and apologize for the inconvenience and noise, I did not expect hammering directly above my room at 8:30 AM. The staff at the front desk said they’d ask them to stop but they did not which made it impossible to do anything but check out. This was a room that cost $385 for one night in Lebanon New Hampshire, off the highway.」
