「Staff are very welcoming and will help as much as they can, to make sure your stay is good, the rooms are clean and fresh, the bar and dining areas are clean, and the pool table is a great added extra to this B&B.
Like most old buildings there is always something that needs doing, if you look for it, but overall the property is in good character.

「This is a great place to stay. The rooms were motel style so open the door straight outside which was perfect as we had our 5month puppy with us. Dog friendly too, could take her into the pub. On arrival, in our room was a dog bed, two dog bowls, dog towel and a doggy welcome pack - great touch. Our room was comfy and had everything we needed. Beautiful home, be ready to walk up 3 1/2 floors if room is on top floor…. No lyft. Not a problem for a 17th century hm, just realize that-
Would recommend a bathtub safety bar in rm 310#. Very sm tub, but nothing to help pull to get out of it!

Kindly sorted a parking space on the property as I think it was a quiet night. But there’s also a huge car park on the other side of the building.
More to do at the property than we realised. The communal area is brilliant. Don’t waste your money in the arcades as there’s loads to do at the hotel: pool, air hockey, table tennis, old school games table (pac man etc), sound system to choose your own music.

「Great one night stay after attending a wedding in the area. Well appointed room, in adjoining stable block, with bottled water, comfy bed and great shower. Lovely breakfast. We were also given a courtesy call on the day to check we were still coming as we were at the wedding. Highly recommend.」
