"I was attending a 2 day conference at Excel and travelling alone, so felt safe if I had to return alone in the evening. Staff were super helpful. I had a "take away" my first evening and in the mornings they were happy to freshly poach eggs for me. On the second evening I went to a nearby Chinese restaurant with colleagues. Unfortunately the Excel building was locked and I had to walk around the outside to get to the hotel. I had walked almost the full length of the path when I came to a fence...

While we were waiting for the lift to go down to breakfast 4 of the cleaning staff were all talking to each other in a different language. "Great one night stay at this hotel for an event at the O2 Arena. Excellent transport connections by rail, tube or the cable car. Hotel was perfect for what we wanted, check in easy, good view, room clean and tea/coffee making facilities. Sister hotel next door with use of their bar and terrace offering stunning views over docks and O2 and Canary Wharf.
