"We had a wonderful two nights at this peaceful oasis. The silo rooms are charming, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful views. Joao, the host, was accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. "Lovely, quiet place, close to very beautiful scenery and authentic Portuguese rural experience. Loved the burros! But like most pools in Portugal, too cold to use. Not sure why no one installs solar water heaters on a nearby roof top to heat the pool as it would be fairly inexpensive investment. Also wonder why most of all shower enclosures in Europe leak water onto the floor."

"Absolutely stunning views and incredibly helpful staff! The team at the desk helped me to book a last minute tour from the day. It was so sweet they would address my by name. The rooms were spacious and clean, not to mention the beautiful view from the balcony. The breakfast was great and there were lots of delicious options for dinner. Great place to enjoy the Duoro valley and recharge. Will be back!"
