Wow! What a great find in douro area. Beautiful historical property in a vineyard. The hosts go out of their way to be helpful with anything you need. Clean large guest rooms. Be sure to join them for dinner. Tasty local full course dinners with wine from their vineyard. We can’t wait to return for another stay

This place feels like a hidden gem I am so glad I stumbled upon. It was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday trip, full of relaxation, delicious food, wonderful hospitality and wine. We had two dinners at the property and both were great. Some of the best olives I’ve tasted in my life. I appreciated the welcome drinks and continued to drink their wine varieties throughout the trip. The rosé was my absolute favourite! Maria helped us book a taxi driver for a few hours to bring us to our two winery tastings. Beautiful large rooms, a great shower, stunning views and lounging by the pool. Pure bliss! I can’t wait to return to this special property!

An absolute delight. Beautiful, historic, modern, delicious, friendly, intimate, relaxing; I could go on. Breakfast great, wine fantastic, dinner convenient and fun, pool with an indescribably breathtaking view. We watched the cook bring the lettuce from the garden and the grapes are grown right there. A bit more difficult than we expected to go places without a car, but was a fun adventure to walk. We showed up with no plans and Maria set up all our tastings and tours. Make sure to ask the family’s story.

This was the most incredible find!!! Casa do Santo is located on a gorgeous and historic property. The building and room were totally gorgeous and the family that runs this hotel are lovely. We had dinner and breakfast onsite and the meals were delicious and oh so homey! We visited during the off season which was already stunning but we plan to be back some future late summer when the vineyards are full!

Room was emasculate. Vaulted ceilings and clean decor. Felt larger than it really was because of a separate cozy patio space. Th view outside was one of a kind. Though it was not warm enough for a swim, the outdoor pool was clean and inviting. Staff and owner are warm and accommodating. Provided special meal for my sick partner.
