An affordable and convenient place to stay in Tokyo. If you took the Keisei skyliner, you arrive at Ueno, a good base for going around downtown. It was a comfortable and quiet stay and the staff were friendly.
After checking in and given the keys Inwas told I had to walk out the entrance and go to another building where my room was, weird but okay. Other than that my room was nice and clean. Location isn’t good and there’s really nothing around the hotel. Catching a taxi there from Haneda airport was pretty expensive. All in all I would stay here if I planned on not doing anything but stay in my room.
Clean and basic rooms with good housekeeping service. However the bathroom is really small. They provided a rubber ducky in the bathroom which was a nice touch. I had tried to contact the hotel via Expedia chat but never got a response and eventually I had to contact them via their official site and in Japanese to get a reply.
Washer machine wasn’t available but overall as advertised. Close to market place and station, got my suitcase at the nearby market street, and lively. I did my laundry at a nearby facility
Check-in and check-out are quite efficient.
The room space allows two 24-inch suitcases opened at the same time.
Additionally, my favorite part is that the interior lighting of the room is quite adequate.
The room is small and some noises from water pipe but the room is clean and comfort.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
Okay for one night but lower your expectations
Went to the Annex first then was told I had to go to the main hotel entrance to check in
Complicated auto check-in was irritating as the staff had to explain what to do when it would have been faster for them to just do it. Same for check-out
Poor WiFi - kept dropping throughout the stay
Windows sealed shut so no air in the room
Pillow hard and uncomfortable to sleep on so I rolled up the bath towel and slept on that
The room was advertised for two people. Unless they are small children two people would never fit in this space. The bed was less than a full sized bed. One person would be trapped against the wall so if they needed to get up at night they would have to wake up the other person. They would be crammed together. Of course the room was non refundable.
When I talked with the front desk , which is in another building. Actually three buildings away, they said, “ we did not lie, this is Japanese size”. I replied that they are advertising internationally and that although they may not have lied, they did not tell the truth. After one day I left and booked another hotel. Not a great experience.
