Clean room. Good internal space configuration so that one naturally moves from outside to the capsule bed.
Tips: ear plug might be needed as loud snoring could break the soundproof
Right next to Shinagawa station and only 5 & 8 stops from Shibuya and Shinjuku. Perfect for a solo traveler who needs the bare minimum (A place to store your luggage, charge your phone, shower, and sleep.) Besides a weird stain on my pillow, the facilities were very clean, and the property had everything available for a stress free trip. The only included amenities are pajamas, 2 towels, and a toothbrush (other amenities can be purchased through a vending machine).

The place was really nice and clean, staff was super polite and friendly. However the sound isolation is not optimal and I would wake up often during the night with people snoring or just entering the capsule
I had a short stay at **9H Hotel Shinagawa** last Friday, and it was my first capsule hotel experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and convenience of the facilities. Everything was well-maintained, and the setup was seamless. The staff on site was attentive and friendly, making the stay even more comfortable. Overall, a great experience for a short stay, and I would definitely consider returning!
Wonderful self service check in. Immaculate bathrooms, showers, and sleep capsules. Those who complain about the lockers, I have to ask how did you manage to get yourself to Shinigawa if you have trouble opening a locker with a QR coded keycard?! Morons. Great capsule hotel but lots of snorers but that’s not the property’s fault. Better sound insulation between the capsules would be the only improvement I would consider worthwhile…everything else is excellent.

A very convenient location. Good WIFI. Staff-less check in with QR code but not pre-sent to booking via Expedia (was told such code available for direct hotel website booking). Wasted 30 min or more and can’t get in. Only 5 shower/toilets for 40 customers not sufficient. Poor sound proof capsule with no earplugs provided and whole night disturbed by snoring from nearby clients
First time staying in a capsule hotel so it was a risk. Absolutely horrendous sleeping conditions. The capsules how no ventilation. Got hot fast. There is zero soundproofing. Everyone snoring, coughing, moaning, shifting, bumping, talking, farting. The entire thing shakes when people walk by. Also one 5 toilets and 5 showers for approximately 100 men. Had to wait 90 minutes in line for a shower. We cut our trip short because we refused to stay a second night. Zero stars.

Really good for what its purpose is, easy convenient and cheap. Capsules have enough space and there are good sized lockers, showers and bathrooms. Facilities are unavailable from 11-3 for cleaning so as long as you fill your day it is fine. Only downside was guests walking around the pods with shoes on which makes a lot of noise, but this isn’t the hotels fault as there are signs saying not to wear shoes and they provide slippers.
As I was arriving at 9am I booked the night before as well as the following night.
Sadly due to their unique rules, I was not allowed to check in upon arrival and was told I had to come back at 2pm.
So basically had to amuse myself for 5 hours after a 14hr flight, and they would not honour the first night.
Of course they had beds available where I could have lied down and not bothered anyone, but they refused to help.
Their policy of kicking everyone out from 10am-2pm was not clear, and you can only check in when they say, not 24hrs. This information was not made clear at time of booking.
Refund refused.
