"The hotel was beautiful and in a great section of San Juan close to cruise pier. The only thing wrong was checkin in was at 4pm and we got there at that time and couldn’t check in till 6pm. They then gave us a $21. refit to use at the hotel which we were leaving next day on a cruise"

"Rooms weren’t ready at time of check in, there was no cold water in the sink, front desk (weirdly on second floor instead of immediately walking in at front door) ran out of stickers to validate parking and still charged the card on file for parking even though we paid at the station. Called the number for the hotel and reached a corporate number who told us they wouldn’t refund us for parking because we “weren’t overcharged” and then transferred us to the hotel that won’t answer. Would not recommend this hotel."

"I had reserved two rooms and had called the hotel directly the week prior to request that the rooms be on the same floor if not next to one another and at check in, I was given keys for one and told that the second had to be cleared by housekeeping and that I would be notified soon. 2 hours later, when I went to check on the status, I was told "you already checked in" and when I said I don't have my keys to the second room, I was given a room 2 FLOORS AWAY from the original room and was told there was nothing that could be done until days later... you would think that if I am requesting rooms on the same reservation and with the call that they would at least put them on the same floor! "

"This hotel was in a great location and has a beautiful view. We booked the bi-level premium suite and really expected it to blow us away for the price. It was nice, but very dated. The carpet was old (and still wet on the stairs when we first arrived), you need two people to open the sliding glass doors on the balcony, the pictures show a sink in the kitchenette but there isn't one, and the refrigerator was one of the smallest ones I've seen. The tiles were cracked in the master shower, and the hot water heater is bipolar. In the morning you can barely cut it on before it burns you, but by the afternoon, you can't get it hot at all. I didn't notice when booking that there is an additional $50 per day resort fee that will be added to your bill. Unlike most Hiltons, you also do not receive a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast buffet is $35 per person. There are a good variety of restaurants on site, but they are also pricey. There are several local restaurants around that are great quality and more affordable, but we were told that we couldn't bring any outside food to the pool area. They literally check your bookbag every time you go to the pool for glass, speakers, and outside food. The first 2 being understandable, but this means you are stuck ordering off their poolside menu that includes a $24 burger and $20 grilled chicken sandwich. There are plenty of chairs which was nice compared to some resorts. Overall, we had a great time, but I wouldn't rebook at this hotel. "

"Good A/C. Power went out, but the generator kicked in quickly. Water flow in shower wasn’t good though. "

"As reserved, the room was simple and clean. It had a nice mattress and very comfortable sheets. The A/C was very good though I barely needed it. I appreciated the water bottles left in my room daily. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. Two minor things bugged me. In the shower there was no where to place my toiletries on a hook or shelf and the shower was a little tight to keep bending down to pick the bottles off the floor. "

"Vivian was great at check in. rooms are clean fresh. bedding was comfy. there are plenty of places to eat around. my only wish is that there was a microwave. all of the good food portions, i had plenty of leftover that were hard to warm up. Fyi- the loft area is pretty cool! whoever stays up there should be agile, at least enough to climb ladder. would stay again made new friends too"

"I think we were a tad unlucky as our booked room had been given away by mistake and when we arrived at 10pm the room on offer smelled of damp. The air con control was missing so it was pretty hinky till we got one on day 2. The toilet didn’t refill properly so each time we had to take off the lid and fiddle with the workings to stop the water running. The bed was very small, rickety and squeaky. The male staff were very friendly and helpful however and the free bar is a nice touch, plus the roof terrace has sweeping views. Location is excellent. "
