"The commodities was good the location very quiet , the 7 miles gravel road was hard on us however we forgot that with the excellent services from all the stafs especially the host master and all the table servers. "I can’t say enough about this hotel. The service was exceptional. The facilities were too notch while still staying true to the local surroundings. The food was fresh and exceptional. The staff was willing to assist in any request or need. Couldn’t recommend it more it was pure bliss"
"We enjoyed our stay at Mariposa, the tone was set the moment we arrived. We checked in late and I went to go run in to give our information, our server Robby insured that he needed to greet us properly and asked all our guests to come in for a welcome drink which we thoroughly enjoyed, the kitchen was also waiting on to offer us dinner before they went home for the evening. We stayed in blue morpho which was close to the pool and bar. There was accessible parking. Staff was accompanying to all our needs whether it was supplying us with a cooler or packing us breakfast to go for our excursion.
Please keep in mind you are in the JUNGLE, there are bugs, they are hard to avoid and they will be in your room no matter how nice. Please watch for ticks, two members of our party got ticks from the hammock.
There is jungle noise all night, yelling weasels, curious monkeys. Enjoy these rare moments you may never get to witness again.
The property had more amenities we weren’t able to take advantage of such as the bird tower but I recommend you do if time allows. Property is very close to mountain pine ridge park. San Ignacio town is approximately 20 minutes away so I recommend a car if you plan on visiting town.
My only complaint is that 2/4 days we noticed housekeeping left our door unlocked after leaving. "
