「Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant, all the staff were friendly, chatty and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable and the cooked breakfast very filling. 」

The uneven floors were beautful and the effort made to keep it looking old is to be applauded. The doors were awesome. We find somewhere like this every year around this time for our birthdays and anniversary. Always somewhere with history and central to exploring. 「The room itself had been recently decorated in a modern decor, unfortunately our bathroom had clearly been smoked in recently, not the hotels fault given all the signs, but the smell was very overpowering and unpleasant. Despite going in winter, we couldn't get the room cool enough -we opened the window and turned off the radiator but couldn't sleep as it was too hot. In addition, there was a party downstairs we were not warned about, the music carried on very late which prevented us sleeping -...

「The breakfast menu was fine but the meal was spread between three rooms with the hot food in one and the cold food in another. All of the public rooms had a form of jazz played quite loudly over the speaker system you couldn't escape it.」
