Find Takayama Station Bed And Breakfast

We had a great stay at Ichika Machiya Holiday House. It was close to the train station and lots of great restaurants. The house was very very nice and clean. Thank you for a great stay!

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to get around. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and exceeded my expectations. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Great location, friendly staff and very large room

We had a nice one-night stay here. Bedrooms were much bigger than anticipated and we were able to utilize the washer/dryer which was a plus. Very close to the train station.

If is a charming traditional Japanese inn in Takayama. It’s location is very convenient for walking to the train station and the main tourist area, but it is situated on a quiet side street. The staff was very friendly. The Japanese breakfast was excellent. We were given kimonos to wear. A very authentic experience.

Nice and efficient hotel in excellent location near train station and old town. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff fairly fluent in English. Gets large group tours so common areas can get very busy at times.

This was my favorite accommodation in Japan. It was very cozy and made me feel home. We had the Sennari room. There were 4 beds in two rooms but we only used two. There was a microwave, fridge, kitchen sink with dishes/soap, washer/dryer, kitchen table, sofa. It was two levels with bedrooms upstairs. We never saw our host. It was self check in with a code. The owner is so nice and takes so much good care of the property. Everything was clean well maintained and the breakfast room was gorgeous. Breakfast was excellent. Great experience!

Excellent! Great hotel for families.

This was the most personal, kind experience I have ever received from a hotel. The building itself is beautiful - this is a true look at a traditional Japanese Ryokan with a few modern comforts. The staff gave us tons of suggestions for things to do and a whole basket of sweets to try on the house. The Sake tasting was also free. This is the best place I have ever stayed.

The hosts are so very kind, welcoming and accomodating. They maintain the authentic experience of using a traditional family style inn from years past. Just be aware that bathrooms are communal, but have a nice onsen style aesthetic :)
