Nice quiet place to stay.

Came to Kentucky for new years week and had a great time. The place has a good location and we would stay here again but the only thing that could be better is that the fire pit area was flatter.

Nice and Cozy

This cabin was at the perfect location to enjoy all things at RRG. My husband and I loved the views and enjoyed the hot tub after a couple days of beautiful hiking. Would stay here again.

Place was nice and very clean. All was exactly as described and communicating with the host was a breeze. My only recommendation would be to replace the shower head.

Cozy Little Cabin

My fiancé and I just needed a weekend away from life and this place was perfect. Close to hiking trails and a few places to eat. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. Would definitely recommend Beary Cozy.

Up on the mountain!!!

This cabin was very much on the side of a mountain and we loved it! We woke to a 4” snow and it was beautiful. The road was passable and cleared before check out. Cabin was clean and had just what we needed. Thank you!!!

Amazing!, cut my hand on the cover to the fireplace because it fell and when I caught it, it cut my hand, other than that, extremely peaceful and relaxing time in a cozy cabin, Fiancé loved the antique interior

Country Lodge

Overall very positive, location is great, very quiet and near to hiking. Property is a good size for two people and in good condition. Kitchen is well stocked, bed was comfy. Some small issues, bathroom could do with a makeover but is functional, only one out of the four jets worked on the hot tub, cleaning left something to be desired, cigar butt in the ashtray on the patio outside, burnt beer cans left in the fire to the side of the house. Overall though happy and worth the money. Loved the area

Location was great!

The location was perfect for all activities in the area. Cleanliness had much to be desired. The cabin was not cleaned very well… furniture was dirty and very dated. Floors were dirty and everything was extremely dusty. Outdoor deck s were filthy. We had to wipe down everything before sitting down. The linens were clean and seemed fresh but, overall they could do much better with cleaning.

very disappointing. bed was hard as a rock, hot tub really needs cleaned . Paid so, we could bring our dogs and there are really no places for the dogs to go to bathroom :(

Comfy Cottage, inconvenient location

The cottage itself is very nice. Hot tub works, and is very relaxing. To get to the cottage you have to drive up a 70 degree slope that only has room for one car. So if anyone else is coming down or up it becomes a game of chicken. The driveway is also pretty dangerous, as it is long and impossible to turn around safely if you drive anything bigger than a hatchback. None of this has to do with the cottage itself though, which as I said, was quite relaxing and a great place to retreat to after a day of touring the gorge.

Owners/ management company were great. Communication and check in were perfect. Unfortunately, the place was pretty dirty and not very well maintained. Bedding was dirty, hot tub was scary and there were multiple half finished projects and things that just didn’t work. /: Also, u can see straight into the unit from the road….. and they are apparently building a new condo next door, which meant loud construction noises. Disappointing. Especially considering the amount we paid. /:

8/10 would recommend

My husband and i rented this cabin for us to stay at after our wedding at the gorge. We loved everything about the cabin, it was very clean and check in was very easy. The only issue we had was the hottub was cold, which was very disappointing because it was what we were looking forward to the most. We tried to enjoy it the best we could without heat but was just too cold to be enjoying. The property manager did let me know beforehand that the heating pump had gone out so I appreciated that they let me know, but was nonetheless disappointing. Other than that the house itself was very cozy and comfortable and we enjoyed spending our wedding night there.

Nicely Appointed, But Definitely Not "Deluxe"

This was a really cute cabin and I'm pretty sure it was amazing when it was newer. The space is laid out well and the totem pole was really cute. I like how there are covered porches and the loft is nicely separated. Overall great layout...but it has not been updated nor well maintained. Someone recaulked the shower and sink in the bathroom improperly and as a result they are both lined with black mold. Someone also "repaired" the deck off of the kitchen and it looks incredibly unsafe. We didn't try the hot tub so can't speak to that. Both couches and the bed are very worn out and incredibly uncomfortable. It all sags and caves in - we are not large people, this is just furniture that is well past its usefulness. My sister rented a cabin with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sleeping loft in Birch Hollow for $85 per night less than we paid for this basic, outdated, much smaller cabin. Not to mention we were not forewarned at how dangerous the road is going in - no place to turn around (narrow) and sheer drop off of the very narrow drive. Also it is located up an incredibly steep mountain. They did say 4-wheel drive is highly encouraged, which we have. But the roads are still scary. I won't be renting this cabin again, though it is probably fine and I would not have minded if I didn't feel as though we were ripped off on the pricing.
