"This property is more of a "Mom and Pop" style motel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are of comfortable size and VERY clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We ate dinner at the cafe and the Asian food was very good and reasonably priced. There is some noise from the road in front and the railroad in back, but the road noise was minimal at night. For us, the only downside might be the mattresses. They could be updated. That being said, my husband and I both slept well because we were sleeping in separate beds. Also, we received a message the day we left asking us if we had lost or left behind a watch. We hadn't, but it was nice to have them check with us in case it had been ours. It felt like very personal service."

Walsh Cottage inside Glacier National Park on Lake McDonald

"The Walsh cottage is a wonderful cozy cabin situated in peaceful and quiet surroundings. The location is excellent being inside the park for early morning starts. The scenery by the cottage of Lake MacDonald is breathtaking. It is not a lakeside view but with only a very short walk, the beach is right there. We even got to enjoy a visit by a black bear to a berry bush very close to our cottage. Later a momma bear and 3 cubs were seen on the shoreline of Lake MacDonald right by the cottage. We loved staying here and would recommend to others"

"What a spectacular renovation of a 1910 historic Railroad Hotel. They’ve done a wonderful job with all the decorations, and have made modern improvements that are incorporated into the original structure. And the restaurant on-site is fabulous!"
Scenic House Located At The Doorstep to West Glacier National Park Entrance

"They house was GREAT and right outside the West Glacier entrance. They have thought of everything you could possibly need during your visit. The house had everything from bear spray too a crock pot!! They had some of the best pots and pans I have ever had at a vacation rental. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for 4 adults. There are tv in the bedroom but they never got turned on because it was just nice to unplug and enjoy the scenery.we saw so many animals during our trip."

"Clean property, great hosts, close to GNP! Lake was super low and inaccessible from the property during this dry summer, but we enjoyed the property nonetheless!"

"Host was thorough and clear with instructions, left many recommendations and historical insight into the cabin, and welcomed any and all feedback we had about the place (the downsides were few and very minor -- the property was amazing). Thank you again!!"
