Many of the shops close very early...5 or 6:00..at least on a Thursday which is when we were there.
It was not my scene though many love it. It was very busy and crowded. I felt like I was on an excursion from a cruiseline. Parking terrible so I would suggest walking.
Make sure you go before 9 am to enjoy it. Otherwise it gets too crowded and forget about it at night. It is nice to go and see it in peace. That way you can appreciate its history.
Really enjoyed Meehan's Irish Pub
