This stone house is suitable accommodation for those who would like to immerse themselves in rural reality, as it is far away from noise and crowded apartment buildings. Here you can experience peace, quiet and solitude every day and enjoy spectacular sunsets.
The building consists of two big rooms, one per floor and each measuring 55m². The big room on the ground floor comprises the kitchen, which is simply and functionally equipped with two electric cooking rings, a fridge and a sink. There is also a little granite table for having breakfast, a bench and two chairs. The room also has a big table, a corner with a sofa and a coffee table, and another corner with a TV, radio and CD player. Two big windows afford a view of the vineyard and the valley below. The floors are laid with big grey tiles. The ceiling with wooden beams is painted white. There is also a bathroom with a shower on the ground floor. Wide corner stairs without a banister lead up to the upper floor, where there is also a single room with a double bed (160 x 200cm, height 10cm) and two hammocks. Alternatively, two single beds (80 x 200cm, height 15cm) can also be provided. An armchair, a bench and a cupboard are provided. The flooring is grey laminate. Wireless Internet access is available.
The site spans more than 50,000m² and is partially planted with grape vines and an olive grove, whose fruits you are welcome to sample. There is plenty of parking space on the extensive, completely fenced site. The parking space next door at Stone Cottage is not accessible in bad rainy weather, but the monitored parking space by the owner’s accommodation is always accessible, about 25 metres away. There is also a big area with wild Mediterranean macchia. This is your own private kingdom. The owners live on the same site, but 300 metres away, so privacy is ensured. The owners are self-taught with regard to agriculture, without a farming background. You can use the washing machine in the owners’ house on request.
The interior of the house has been newly furnished and provides everything you need for an active, sporty holiday. Owing to the layout of the house and the rural location, the house is not recommended for small children and people with restricted mobility. Because of the climate and the vegetation, you are not permitted to light outdoor fires in summer. Dogs are not allowed, as they could disturb the cattle in the nearby pasture. The last 400 metres of the access road to the house are not asphalted.
Here you can spend days of absolute peace and quiet, or you can get to know the farm work if you are interested. The nearby Monte Arrubiu forest also invites you to go on hikes or cycle tours. You can get to the beautiful beaches in the south of Sardinia by car. It is about 17km to the seaside. The nearest grocery shops, cafés and restaurants are about 2km away.
