"We had a great time at Don’s! We were only able to spend one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. Don is very friendly and has a great property that is perfect if you’re looking to unplug a bit and stay somewhere quiet. His dog Blue was around the property as well and he was very sweet. "
"This is a fantastic location for anyone looking to explore the national park. We enjoyed how isolated the property was but how quickly you could drive to Port Angeles. Our room was clean and spacious and we loved the fireplace and balcony views of the mountains. The owners were very clear with their instructions and incredibly responsive via text to any questions or requests. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone."
Rustic Lakefront Cabin with Bonus 'Tree House' - A Place to Unwind

"We enjoyed some great family time at this rustic lakefront cabin. We swam off the dock, paddled kayaks in the calm morning waters, and rowed across the lake in the rowboat. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was a nice size dining table plus a picnic table on the deck. The hosts were very helpful when we had questions. They provided good directions as well as info about where to park and about the steep trail down to the cabins. The bonus treehouse cabin was cute and cozy and had a beautiful view. The main cabin had a big two level deck and dock which go right to the lake‘s edge. We had to keep a close eye on the 4 and 6 year olds but the loved playing on the deck, swimming and eating outside. This side of the lake has a fair amount of shade, but the weather was nice and we spent most of the time outside! All in all a great place to stay!"
"The property looked great on the Vrbo site. In person, even better. Wonderful furnishings, beds, bedding. Oh so many places to sit. Fantastic deck. Water toys a plenty. Clean clean clean. I hate to talk up this place, the lake for fear of it becoming crazy popular, but it is a perfect place to swim, relax, kayak, and hit Olympic National. "

Lake Sutherland Retreat on the sunny side of the lake!

"2 adults and 1 kiddo (1st grader) stayed for 5 nights next to beautiful Lake Sutherland. Hot tub was wonderful. Barbecue was great to use. LOVED paddling with the kayaks and paddleboards! (Bring your own life vests) for a cool paddle try paddling west all the way to the creek at the end of the lake, you can paddle down aways in kayaks. The house was great for family of 3, appreciated small plates and kids DVDs. Wifi worked without any issues. Port Angeles was 20 min drive for any grocery needs. Kitchen well stocked. VERY much appreciated laundry! Between lake and hot tub went through lots of sets of swimsuits and clothes. Did not need to communicate with managers at all. Check in process was straight forward. Would return again if we were on the area for summertime. Thabks for a great stay!"
