「We loved the architecture of the historic lodge and its beautiful setting on the Lake. 「The setting on a bluff above the ocean was beautiful as was the view from our room, but this building is old and weathered. They are now renovating, but parts of the exterior still look pretty bad. Our room was quite nice, with modern decor. Since we stayed on a Monday, the restaurant was closed so we couldn’t try it out. We did not use the indoor pool or sauna either.」

「While the grounds and lake were great (the only reason for the 3 stars) the home left a little to be desired for the price. Fan in bathroom halfway hanging out of the ceiling, doorknobs on vanity in bathroom came right off when trying to open, curtains over sliding doors were ripped off the grommets, shower head leaking and spraying everywhere, bedside light didn’t work, and outdoor motion light didn’t work. 「Everything was good with the exception of the door lock is very difficult to operate. An outdoor table would be a nice addition. Kitchen is very functional and all appliances worked properly. I would certainly stay on that property again.
Water heater sprung a small leak, which I reported but no one came to fix it. We were able to manage it by wrapping towels around the leak, no big deal.」
