"We chose the Greatt Hotel for its location - 1 block from the Shilin Night Market (one of the best in Asia) and close to the Shilin train station - straight shot to CKS Memorial and convenient 15-minute bus to National Palace Museum. It is a bit spartan, but the rooms are clean and the bathroom was great. Reception was very nice and useful but did not speak English - the use of Google Translate solved all problems. I definitely recommend this hotel."

"Convenient and affordable updated facilities. It is fairly no frills but provided all essentials. Bathroom ceilings above the shower/Tubs have visible mold growth. Otherwise very clean. "The housekeeping staff was amazing. Very helpful and cheerful. Check-in went well. I was told the hotel did not have an iron which was a bit inconvenient. The renovated hotel is done nicely. Compact and functional. Loved the location although it was a bit far from the train but inexpensive taxis and ride shares are easily accessible. "
