I didn’t realize how far away this hotel was from bus stops or train stations when booking and found myself kind of stranded (I tried to walk to the bus stop 20minutes away and the streets immediately around the hotel are not designed for pedestrians). Dining options are available nearby; the sushi place directly across the road is excellent! Would be happy to recommend to others who would like a slightly unusual place to stay "

"The room was spacious, and the breakfast was delicious, though mainly Japanese with just some bread rolls, which may be limiting for those who prefer the Western style breakfast. There were separate onsen areas, one open to public and the other just for the hotel guests. The public bath was open only for limited times, and the amenities were minimal."

"Location of its facility is surrounded by magnificent and beautiful mountains with lots of green, atmosphere is totally different from big city Tokyo. The owner of pension is quite friendly, and capable to treat guest with "omotenashi" from his long experience. "
