"Great time. Enjoyed a meal in the Rib room. Spa facilities were super and definitely great getting us ready for a wedding, also dealing with the consequences from the wedding. "
"Lovely, quiet hotel close to old Durham. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and particular kudos to those working the evening shift in the restaurant and bar."

INNSiDE by Meliá Newcastle
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed one night at INNSiDE by Meliá Newcastle and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and professional, and the service felt warm and attentive from check-in to check-out. My room was clean, modern, and very comfortable—everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
One of the highlights for me was the atmosphere of the hotel itself. I really enjoyed the artwork and creative touches throughout the building, which gave it a stylish and unique character. Combined with the excellent location on the Quayside, it made the stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Newcastle."
"The staff made our experience fabulous. Everyone we met was helpful, friendly and accommodating. I am disabled and needed to use a mobility scooter to get around, nothing was too much bother. The first room was difficult to access for me, we informed reception and were seamlessly and quickly moved to another room. The restaurants, expecially Fusion were amazing, the food was some of the best we have had! We celebrated our wedding anniversary and my husbands birthday, we were treated to a special desert and our room was decorated with rose petals, towel art and complimentary chocolates. I had read mixed reviews, however, our experience was first class. Yes some areas need touching up a little, having said that, the staff made our visit amazing. Due to medical conditions I didnt know if I would be able to use the spa facilties, Lilly to the rescue!! She escorted us to a different access point, where I was able to park my scooter much nearer, she checked I was able to access the hydrotherapy pool safely, this small act of kindness had an enormous impact on my wellbeing, she made such a difference, what lovely people they all are. Whatever they did, they did with a smile and genuinely cared. The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to have a sign in the car park asking guests using room facilities for events, to respect others by not drivng around the car park at speed or sit revving engines for over an hour, whist blocking access. We will definitely be returni"
"I discovered this hotel last year and liked it so much that it was a no-brainer to return this year. It was every bit as good. The staff are lovely. The rooms are designed perfectly and kept spotless. The breakfasts are excellent, although they have increased in price since last year. The location could scarcely be beaten: a five-minute walk from the Central Station, yet quiet enough for a very restful night's sleep.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to alter the harsh lighting in the bathroom, which adds 20 years to anyone's age.
Bleach-white LED lights from overhead wash out your face and throw all your blemishes and wrinkles into a geriatric relief map.
When the time comes to upgrade the bathrooms, consider placing the ceiling lights slightly behind where the person will be standing at the sink then angle the beam so that the lighting bounces off the mirror into the person's face. This is still bright, but it softens their appearance (it's an old design trick).
As q quick fix, you might even be able to warm the LED lights without too much hassle because most are switchable these days."
