Great service, bed too hard for me, great breakfast but for the cost would prefer nespresso machines provided in the room

Outstanding hotel, nice location though a little out of the way as you’d expect with the name. Rooms were tremendous, huge and very comfortable…would definitely return
Beautiful place as always. Rooms were warm and cosy and comfortable. Bath is amazing! Lovely staff. Lovely breakfast. Enjoyed my stay a lot. Thank you.
Internet: Sketchy (was on and off)
Staff were excellent
Bar/Food was very good
Didnt have breakfast so did not rate, but if as per restaurant food I am sure wit would be good
We stayed in the hotel for one night, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, everyone was friendly and helpful and it is in a beautiful setting.
Staff were pleasant and helpful, and the function we attended was great. Breakfast was tasty with a great of selection, but staff were run off their feet and we had to ask for basic things such as bread and plates. The room was dated and the walls were paper thin; we could hear the neighbours coughing, snoring, and walking around, so we got no sleep. The bathroom door was panes of glass top to bottom so you could see each other on the toilet and in the shower. Little lamps didn’t work by the bed. Communal areas nice but bedroom lacking.
After 9 years of coming to the hardwick hall, this is the last. In need of a massive refurbish and a good clean. Heating not working and TV not working. We won’t be back.
We really enjoyed our stay here. We thought about booking an extra day just so we could stay in the comfortable bed. It was a great experience all around

If you’re disabled or just an older guest beware the rooms have not been reviewed by an appropriate person. I found the bathroom a death trap. No grab rails in the shower but the worst was the slippery floor in the toilet with nothing to grab onto when struggling to arise from the toilet. My husband had to help me but not before on making an attempt my feet slipped and I finished up with a nasty fall and a now painful back.
At 2am I had to ring reception I was frozen- the radiator didn’t work and I couldn’t sleep the duvet was Summer weight, I had my coat on the bed and wearing tights and cardigan. Eventually I decided to contact reception or go home. The young man sorted my problem and brought me a portable heater and mended the radiator. He was very pleasant. The phone of course didn’t work I had to use my mobile. Otherwise the room had a lovely view and was large and I’d love to return . The staff were very helpful and pleasant, I feel it fair to warn other future guests.

Very comfortable overnight business stay. Food and staff were great, but because it’s an old building, the decor could do with a bit of a touch up. Other than that, I had a great stay.

Large country hotel in a great setting. Furnishings and fittings looking tired but average for this kind of place. Excellent staff.
Lovely property, excellent staff. We did have a problem with our original room which had a rather strange smell, this was quickly dealt with by the front desk staff and we were relocated to another room which was lovely. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious, service good and staff friendly. I would stay here again if I was in the area.
