10/10 Excellent

"The room was very nice. The bathroom was excellent, with its own standing shower, separate. The only downside I could find and that was very hard to do was the there's no hook to hang the towel on the bathroom, and the towels are very, very small. You can hardly wrap them around you but I couldn't find anything else wrong with a hotel that was beautiful. Very close to the train as well. I will definitely stay there again if I'm in that area."

"My stay was surprisingly pleasant. The hotel is about 5 mins walk from Nara Station where there is an Aeon supermarket and at walkable distance to tourist attractions. The property is a little older but the room was much bigger, cleaner and brighter than other properties with the same grade. The room I stayed at has a queen size bed and a sofa, hardwood floor (instead of carpet), and updated lighting. It was good value for money spent."

"I loved this place. Very clean. Loved my room. Staff were helpful. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The hot spring was one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Japan. It's right next to the train station. It's a perfect way to get a taste of the experience of more traditional Japanese accommodations, but in a medium sized hotel. If I ever go back to Nara I would not hesitate to stay here again."

"Breakfast was surprisingly good. Great facilities with the kids room, relaxation area with massage chairs and spa. Also, very impressed with the availability of rental items you can order from your room. Their service was great alongside with their high level of english. Definitely one of the top Novotel's we've been to."
