"The first unit we checked into had both adult and baby roaches present. To the resort’s credit, they moved us promptly once we reported the issue, but the timing made the situation especially inconvenient since it was around 10 PM and we had just started settling in after returning late from a wedding event. We were in town for a wedding and spent most of our stay attending offsite wedding events, so we did not really have the opportunity to fully explore or enjoy the resort amenities during our visit. While the staff responded quickly, the experience impacted the rest of my stay. I spent much of the trip feeling uncomfortable, constantly checking for bugs, and worrying about bringing them home with us. The resort offered four park passes as a goodwill gesture, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, after the experience, we did not feel particularly eager to return, so the resolution did not fully address the impact the situation had on our stay. We do have a year to use the passes, so perhaps with time we may reconsider. In fairness, our group had three different units spread across the resort and no one else reported similar issues, so this may have been an isolated incident. However, it still significantly affected my ability to relax and enjoy the stay."

"This is a cabin resort depending on the room level. Rustic but you ARE in a national park so to be expected. If in the traditional or cabins, you walk up the hill to the dining room/bar. There are 2 short (1.5mi) right at the lodge"

"The Yurt itself was great. Fun space. Traveler advisory- the Yurt is situated next to a a busy road. The noise died down by 10pm but expect an early wake up (6am) when cars and trucks and motorcycles pass by. Bring an eye mask- it’s very bright once the sun comes up. We didn’t notice noise during the night . There is a sound machine and we also brought one. Ear plugs were provided! Otherwise great location - near Lurray and Shenandoah national park."

"I spend a few days in the cabin by myself to get some work done. The Wifi was excellent! Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked (plenty of coffee and filters!), very quiet. Nice view of the mountains through the trees. Directions were perfect, communication with host excellent. Would def stay again!"

"The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Check in instructions were very clear and we had no issues! Comfy bed, spacious shower, clean hot tub, full kitchen, fireplace outside and electric fireplace inside. The property owner stopped by to help us with some pestering hornets and was so nice!! We enjoyed a full day on the property sitting outside on the porch swing overlooking the mountains for hours. This spot now holds a special place in our hearts as we got engaged here. We will 100% be returning to this property. "

"Family getaway. The log home surely met our expectations. The owner has done a great job in providing comfort and created a welcoming environment with decor and newer furnishings. We loved the open-concept living area, and it kept everyone together, regardless of where they were in the house. The game room was a great add-on feature, and star-gazing in the hot tub was amazing. If you plan on using the kitchen or cooking, it is recommended to bring supplies such as paper towels, dish liquid, sponge, coffee filters, and like necessities (TP). Due to the nature of renters, checking cleanliness of pots, pans, plates, silverware, glasses before use is a good idea (several required cleaning before use). These we in no way show stoppers and we look forward to a future return. "
