Miramar Apartments - Shangai
This hotel is convenient to Hongqiao Airport. It is next to a subway Station on the new #10 Line. It is next to the Carefour mall, which serves all general shopping needs, and close to other specialized shopping as well.
The hotel is far away from standard Shanghai sites, but is excellent for one desiring a full apartment setting. The room sizes are large, and the apartment all come with at least two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and two full bathrooms. They are well furnished, but beware of the hard mattresses, typical of China. The air flow is pleasant, and there is full A/C, if you want it.
The hotel is set in the Shang Mira Gardens, which is a pleasant blend of greenery and sports facilities. It is next to Yanan Elevated Road (i.e. Highway), which adds to the noise, but it is quite bearable.
This is an excellent hotel for the Jewish traveler to Shanghai, for it is in the same campus as the Jewish Center (Chabad). But do reserve early if you are staying for the Sabbath, as the word is out, and the rooms are snapped up quickly.
