"The room was clean but the parking was no space the house is located on top of a steep narrow driveway. There was a space in front of the garage for 2 cars in which were occupied already and we had such a challenge to maneuver inthe narrow driveway and try to park somewhere. The owner was responsive on providing some items in which was needed; however there were no dressers or closets and was mainly we were living based to our suitcases. "When you travel here you’re more than likely staying for the sequoia national park. This hotel gets the job done in comfort: clean rooms, great AC, very kind staff and friendly service. Fresh towels and housekeeping for longer stays are great. 24/7 hot chocolate dispenser in the lobby is a fun little tidbit as well. This is our second stay at this location. First was last year in November for sequoia national park (during the snow and very cold weather). Hotel was perfect back then. This time was August (extreme heat / 100° weather) and it was still a very enjoyable stay. Due to the summer there were a few scout ants in our room but nothing that bothered us, just keep open food to a minimum and of course be clean guests and they find nothing to get into. Will definitely be staying here again should we travel back to sequoia for a third trip!"

"Upon entering the unit it was very welcoming. Towels arranged nicely for everyone, the rooms were comfortably cool with outside temp in triple digits, the beds were comfortable and we all loved the view from the deck with the sound of the running water over the beautiful rocks and comfortable chairs on the deck allowing you to sit and feel the peace and quiet that comes from nature's surroundings."

"The bad stars for the individual parts (cleanliness, staff, amenities) don't tell the full story of how great this place was as a whole. For European travellers this is a must as it gives such a great glimpse of old school Americana holidays...cabins, tents, airstreams by the river, a shared pool, BBQ utensils and fixed BBQs in front of every property, s'mores before under the stars. What a great time to have!!! Location was great, some food alternatives nearby (Tony's greek food truck 5 mins drive as well as a local market for anything you might need). Our room wasn't perfectly clean, but it's a cabin near a river..can't expect that to be sparkling. One thing I wasn't happy about...there is an amenity fee for the various offerings (WiFi, pool, bike rental, Tesla charging, granola breakfast bar) that everyone has to pay even if you don't use these amenities, and in my mind that wasn't clearly advertised (usual side notes on the description)..why not make it part of the price to pay in the first place? I did laugh at checkin when the lady told me about the complimentary granola bar...I told her "it's not complimentary when you pay for it!!!)"

"A 10/10 experience from start to finish. Was one of those places that somehow exceeds the photos, and we left already talking about when we could come back. The highlight for us was swimming in the freshwater canyons nearby, genuinely one of the most fun afternoons we’ve had on any trip. Cool, clear water, gorgeous scenery, and the kind of thing you just don’t get at a typical hotel. We also saw a ton of wildlife around the property, which made every walk feel like a small adventure. Then at night the stars come out and it’s a whole other reason to be here. Very little light pollution, so you get that full sky you forget exists until you’re standing under it. The staff deserve a special mention. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help with anything — recommendations, directions, logistics. They made the whole stay feel effortless."

Cedar Grove Lodge

"The lodge is about 30 miles from the park entrance on mountain roads so much less crowded, quieter, ready to enjoy nature. The lodge is old and small but our room was clean and comfortable. Shower and air conditioning in working order with wifi, no TV. The lodge is next to the river, the grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there is a market in the building. We enjoyed our visit."
