「Really enjoyed our stay. Great pub and lovely owners that made sure me and my dog Begbie felt very welcome. The room was extremely comfortable and clean exactly what we needed after a long day in the hills. Super friendly locals and good food even threw in a extra sausage with my breakfast for the pooch. Very good value as well 10/10 stay and would definitely recommend.」

「Absolutely wonderful stay! The B&B was charming, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, but what truly stood out was the breakfast — hands down one of the best we have ever had. 「He been to the BGL twice in the last month and have enjoyed both stays. First hotel I’ve been to that has no reception or staff in general, with keys and information left on a table on the way in. No matter though, I’m there to sleep and shower and that’s about it! It’s situated right on the beach which gives you the most incredible view out of the window and it’s close to local pubs and a few other conveniences. More importantly, it’s in an amazing place to head in to Wasdale - other than...

「Set in a beautiful village this accomodation stands out withbits exterior decor. Parking is a short walk away and not onsite but this isnt gar and not a problem. We were greeted by a wonderful ladybwhonwas full of smiles, verybfriendly and appeared tonreally enjoy her job. She showed us to our room and left us to unpack. 「It's right in front of the bus stop, easy to access from Penrith station. Very clean and cosy room, friendly and kind staff. I had a dinner at the restaurant, very good. Needless to say, the English full breakfast was fantastic. 」

「Beautiful room, stunning view from room 4. Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent, and if you are heading out for walks, they can provide a packed lunch if you order the day before. There must have been at least 5 extremely wellbeahaved dogs at the hotel that were owned by guests, its a super dog friendly place. There are towels to dry off the dogs and also a sink outside undercover with warm water tap to clean the dogs if needed.」

"グラスミアーの湖面に面していて最高の環境であった。食事も旨く、夕食付きの予約は、お得だった。レストランの若い女性の給仕達が喧しいこと、シーツが5日間替えられなかったこと、ランドリーサービスが無いこと、駐車場側の部屋だったので、眺望がいまいちだったことが残念だった。"

"朝食が大変おいしく毎日違うメニューを注文するのがとても楽しみでした。リビングの冷蔵庫に白ワインを冷やして、一日の散策後、外のバルコニーのテーブルでまったりする時間も最高でした。４つ星としたのはKeswickの街で夕食を取った後坂道を登って歩くのが少し大変だったから。"

ザベルズフィールドホテル

"個人の邸宅を改装している趣きのあるホテル。湖畔は目の前で、フェリー乗り場にもすぐの素晴らしいロケーション。街中にも近い。階段が多いことや廊下が軋むことなど、建物の古さは感じるが、泊まった部屋は改装後でシャワーとバス別々にあり、湖畔側なので朝の湖を眺めることができ快適だった。レセプション、ルームサービス、レストラン等のスタッフもとても親切で、レストランの予約や観光プランなどの相談にも対応し、幼児にも優しく接してくれた。コメントに書かれているような人種差別的な態度は感じられなかった。ただし、外装工事中(かなり長い期間行っている模様)の表示がサイトにないこと、リフトが故障しており、見たところ修理する予定もなさそうなこと(荷物は運んでくれるが、幼児を抱えての移動には苦労あり)、結局最初の日は街中のレストランの予約が取れず、それ以上のサポートがなかったことを勘案した評価としました。"
