"The overall cleanliness of the hotel & the service was wonderful with the exception of a grumpy woman behind the bar her service was awful, she didn’t even come to take my order for lunch I waited 40minutes I even had to go & ask & order it myself up at the bar, it wasn’t even busy. She wasn’t very helpful it was as though she didn’t like the job! Her approach to customers wasn’t great really to be honest. But I certainly give 5 stars to all the other staff in the restaurant & especially the lady at reception. Thank you to those staff that made up for the grumpy one with glasses. "

"The lady owner was friendly and lovely from the moment I arrived. I was made to feel very welcome and was even treated to a plate of home made biscuits. The bed was comfy and I had an amazing night's sleep. Breakfast was served at a time that was convenient to me and everything was very fresh. The bread and jam were also home made. The property is in a very quiet location and in lovely gardens and provides a great place to stay during a visit to the lake district. "

"The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach with stunning views. The staff are amazing and very friendly. The service is excellent and the food is simply delicious. Myself and my wife stay here for weekends all the time and won't stay anywhere else. "

"Great little tavern with 9 rooms . Lovely friendly staff . Good Sunday lunch , inexpensive. Warm friendly atmosphere and locals . Open fireplace . Nice breakfast buffet . Very clean room with good amenities . Quiet , peaceful and safe . Very nice area . Dog friendly. Great local shop and post office opposite . Train station and local buses very close . Ten minute walk to beach and coast to coast walking trail . Check in 3pm"
