"Dogs are welcome. Property in total is in pretty rough shape. Having said that, the room was clean, bed was comfortable, no bugs. Kinda noisy, walls are thin. Only 2 restaurants, a pizza place and an American comfort food place. Both were very good with generous portions. All staff throughout the New Pioneer were extremely friendly and helpful. The quality of service was superior. It's right on the Colorado River, so views were nice."

"Our stay was great, staff very friendly. Just a few minor issues, but not a big deal. We had room with river view, but windows were very dirty. First step into room on arrival room smelt musty. "

"Loser's Lounge was pretty nice...otherwise, very smoky check-in with a grumpy check-in clerk. The smoke-free area was decent... no hotel drop off...had to carry heavy bags from parking lot..."

"Right by Hoover Dam with a good trail so you can home there within 1.5-2 hours. Right outside of Boulder city and really only like a 20-30 minute drive to Vegas. A lot of small stores and restaurants on the main floor. The Gambling is all just machines. I looked around for a Crapps table and was disappointed when i didn't find one. Also the internet was pretty dog water compounded with the fact the phone reception specifically inside hotel is largely pretty shotty also. Other than that good stay. :)"
