"This place really needs an upgrade. My first room the carpet was loose and I tripped over the folds of carpet. There was duct tape holding the carpet down between the bathroom and the sleeping space. All the furniture is chipped and worn and the phone did not work. I moved to a new room but had to pay for an upgrade. It was better but not great. At least the carpet was in better condition. The sink didn’t work, however, and it took a really long time to get hot water. The staff in the restaurants and cafés are all very friendly breakfast bagels in the café are excellent. The coffee is some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Location of course is why I stay there. I don’t really stay there for the comfort of the room. I guess you get what you pay for."

"In my opinion it’s an overrated hotel especially if you’re going to go on a casino vacation. The games do not pay out, it’s like they are totally off. We spent a large amount of money trying too all hours of the day and night and saw no one winning, just a lot of unhappy discouraged people. We’ve been there on multiple visits and it seems to be getting worse. Also the food selections are not the best. We had to keep leaving the hotel to go to other hotels to get better selections of food. The hotel is very outdated, a lot of games are very outdated , the pool furniture is very outdated and uncomfortable as they are very worn. The good thing is the people who work there. We were told by staff the grandson runs it now and in my opinion he has a lot of work to get the hotel and all the things offered up to par again. And it’s very sad you would have a bunch of goats put on an island just for an attraction. "
