"Loved everything about our stay! The house had everything you could need and was clean and comfortable. One of our favorites that we have stayed in at Sea Ranch!"
"If you love nature this is the perfect place to be. There are many beaches and trails nearby. My husband and I saw animals during our stay that we don't typically see. Harbors seals, Humpback whale (that sadly was deceased) Turkey Vultures, Scrub jays, Red-shoulder hawk, Black-tailed jack rabbit, Douglas squirrel, Gray fox, Brown pelicans, Osprey, Sheep with even a time they were being hearded across a road into a field, and Black-tailed mule deer. The deer family were there every morning and evening in the yard. The sunsets were stunning. Sea Ranch has a noise and sound ordinance. This made for peaceful evenings. We would stand on the deck and look up to the clear sky to view the stars. The deck has access from the kitchen and the main bedroom. The main bedroom was spacious with high ceilings and a nice large shower. High ceilings are also in the small living area, dining and the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and baking. Gualala is a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants. We didn’t use the grill or hot tub or enjoy the puzzles and games provided. Cons. The kitchen doesn’t have ventilation for cooking so the entire house would smell. Many of the dishes and cups were broken. Some cooking utensils were rusted. The bedroom upstairs was musty smelling with handprints, smudges on the walls. We kept the door closed to this area. "

"This was a lovely cozy house with great views of the ocean from the house and the hot tub, as well. The sofas are old and the springs from the cushions could be felt - so they could be replaced, but I'm concerned that to do so would motivate the owners to increase the price, which currently is relatively affordable. We placed some cushions that we have from home and the car and that was an adequate remedy. Other than a slight carpet stain by the master king sized bed, everything else was absolutely perfect and delightful. I would return here enthusiastically!"
Unique Sea Ranch Binker Barn with amazing ocean views & private hot tub

"I gave this five stars because overall, the property was great and peaceful and the right price for what it offered. The view out to the ocean is spectacular and the location was exactly what we needed.
With that said, a few frustrating things that are good to know before you go (or book this property at all):
-- the bunk bed is very high and it doesn't have a guard rail or a ladder. For children, it's basically a middle-of-the-night broken arm waiting to happen. We pulled the mattress down to the floor and it worked out fine.
-- The studio heat does not work. You need to use the space heaters. When we plugged in the two that were available, it blew the fuse for the wall outlets. We ended up plugging in one to a different outlet and it worked out fine. I raised the issue but it was not addressed during our stay.
-- we did find some mouse poop in the silverware drawer. Gross, but we didn't spot any critters during our stay.
-- none of the the wall outlets in the kitchen along the counter space worked, we had to plug the toaster and coffee machine up on the other side of the room and sit them on the floor.
-- no control over the hot tub. The temperature was fine though so not a huge deal.
-- pay attention to the check in instructions for location of the Vacasa office. Putting the address given into Google maps sent me 10 minutes beyond Gualala and suggested I drive off a cliff. The instructions do have important details on exact location, ignore Google maps. "

"This would be a five-star review in all aspects except for a few maintenance issues that need attention:
1. Some light bulbs need to be replaced: one in the entry hall, one at ceiling level in the living room area, and one under-cabinet light in the kitchen.
2. The guest bath sink drain plug is inoperable.
3. The guest bathroom toilet paper dispenser falls apart when used.
With these maintenance issues addressed, we’d highly recommend this home for a quiet retreat for a couple. "
