"I have my dog with me & we had recently stayed at another hotel in Bakersfield. I believe in picking up after your animals. The hotel we stayed at previously did nothing to enforce this or to clean up, I had to watch my step every time I took my furbaby outside, there was that much poop every where. My stay at the Vagabond was the opposite. There were still people who didn't pick up after there animals but the hotel made sure to keep their areas clean. This was greatly appreciated! No one wants to take their dog out at 1am, half asleep, & realize you just stepped in a pile of poo! I would definitely recommend the Vagabond to anyone who is looking for a place that is cost friendly, clean, & has a courteous staff."

"Not ideal but we made the best of it. The bedroom - bathroom partition was transparent glass. Bathroom only had a tub. We did not use the bathroom. Heater was unbearably loud as was the housekeeping staff The hotel has lots of potential but needs a makeover to bring it back to its glorious past. Front desk was excellent."

"The staff were very friendly and courteous. My family and I were waiting for a big party to exit the hot tub because there was no room for us and the guy who had checked us in came out to tell me that he knows it’s busy right now and that if I needed to he would let us stay passed closing time so we can enjoy it. Breakfast was good, just what you would expect nothing fancy but it was fully stocked and it was filling. Would definitely stay here again "
