「Overall good stay. The house is very well laid out considering the size of it and has everything you need. It probably needs a spring clean as few cobwebs dusty sills etc if you're wanting something pristine, but all the day to day areas were tidy and clean making it very enjoyable. The birdsong in the morning is incredible and we'd come back and stay again.」

「I start with the things I did not like: do not book this facility in case you do not own a NZ SIM card or any other option to make phone calls at reasonable prices. The owner is not on site, hence there is no reception. Instead he will call you and give you a door access code. In my case this needed two calls, which cost me in total nearly 100 NZ $ ... Also the lodge was very hard to find, which needed the second call, to guide me to the right house. So if you have a cheap option to phone, no...

「The property was conveniently located for all of our plans in and around Rotorua. Unfortunately, the AC broke right before our stay, which was not communicated to us. We had to contact the owner because we were unable to turn the AC on, which was when we found out it was broken. In addition, the parking situation was tricky - either a VERY tight driveway, or a big dropoff to a gravel spot. Not great when driving a rental car!」
