I reached out to VRBO and the owner, VRBO automotive system hung up on me and the owner did not respond to my message but emailed only when I did not have WiFi (for I was standing in the apartment building). I ended up getting a hotel rooms for my family and no one is refunding me the money for this apartment! Very disappointed and frustrated especially being 3 days before...

"I've stayed here a few times flying into, out of and through Detroit. It's close to the airport and has a 24 hour free shuttle. It's a common place for Delta to send stranded passengers so the shuttle (and check-in) line can get long if you hit it wrong. The atrium area is really nice. I like hanging out there. The free breakfast buffet is among the best I've ever had. The eggs actually tasted like real eggs. They had a great spread of the typical stuff including make your own belgian waffles. The coffee was fine and there was plenty of it. The main downside is the upkeep. Many things in the room and hallways are worn or straight up broken. Usually it's just cosmetic stuff but this past time, the shower didn't work and our toilet was clogged. This is an area of concern for sure. Overall, I'd stay there again if I need a quick night near DTW."
