"Fantastic place to stay! The place is a hidden gem on the edge of town that feels like you’re in your own oasis. Ehsan, the host there, was very welcoming and friendly."

"I really like our stay at Trece Lunas. Claudia was our concierge, very responsive, friendly and helpful. We had an issue with a toilet and within the same day the toilet was fixed. Trece Lunas is a small place with I believe 6 units, it is very calm and quiet. I’ve barely seen other clients during my stay, the pool was rarely occupied. The staff is very friendly, our cleaning lady was cleaning the room thoroughly and making the bed every day, she was also always changing out our bath and beach...

"We stayed at three different VRBO‘s on this trip, and this was our favorite of the three. Quiet, safe, spacious, with all that we needed for a comfortable stay. Smooth check-in process and easy communication."

"Amazing stay! Great location , close to downtown Tulum and the main strip. Also, the area in which the home is located has cute shops, cafes, and restaurants. That area is also growing. "

"This place was amazing!! We had the best honeymoon! We had everything we needed. It was so spacious, the pool was perfect, we were able to walk to different restaurants in the neighborhood, and it was very quiet. Edwin and Irma were so wonderful and great chefs!!! Hosts even put us in contact with a masseuse that came by and she was great!!! They also just had the best tips for our stay. We enjoyed our early morning runs along the road. It was the most relaxing time! "

"The house was just as listed and well maintained. The owner was responsive to questions and the onsite staff was very helpful. The location was great with easy access to Tulum, snorkeling with sea turtles, and numerous cenotes. The little reef just inside the breakwater (dark spot in the water) was good for a short snorkel. "Leo was a great property manager. He was attentive and so helpful! The property is in a great area on the country club. The house is really nice but it could use a deep clean and a few fixtures were broken/missing."

"This place was amazing! It was so cozy and beautiful. Whenever we messaged the host with a question they were quick to respond and so helpful. If there’s availability to rent this place out for your mexico trip I highly recommend! "

"The only two things I liked in this hotel is the restaurant food and that the hotel was big so there’s a lot of walking places. The ocean is OK this time it was a little dirty, but overall it’s not bad, but I would give it a one star for the food other than the restaurants. The restaurant food was amazing 10 out of 10 the buffets were probably a two out of 10 and the drinks were one out of 10. Also, I will say that the staff at the bars and most staff in the buffets are really rude and unfriendly and this is my second time there and I can say nothing really changed. They are still pretty unfriendly and they don’t seem to like American people. We literally were ignored at the bar every time we would come up. They would serve everybody and act like they don’t see us till my husband said something to them and even then the guy just had a smirk and didn’t come up for a while. This is the only reason I would never go back there. I gave it a second chance, and still never again. The drinks were so bad that I couldn’t even drink the last few days because they were disgusting. Also, the shows were pretty lame more for kids, and they only started around. But there’s nobody at the shows because they’re very lame."
"Either we got lucky or it was truly an amazing trip for our family. The weather was perfect, all the amenities the hotel provided were great. Lots to do w kids. Restaurants were great as well. If anything I would critique the buffets. Could use a bit of flavor and change in menu. They had lots of choices but after the 3rd day eating the same menu got boring. Staff and room was clean and very comfortable for our family of 5, we stayed in the junior suite"
Hotel Xcaret Arte – All Parks / All Fun Inclusive, Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"The property was amazing. They do really pay attention to detail. The food was delicious very authentic. The buffet options were insane they had a lot. We opted out of the time share presentation."
Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club - Adults Only - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"The room was beautiful, but there were roaches (I understand that in tropical locations/ jungle locations it tends to be harder to get rid of them but it was still unfortunate to see), the room was not cleaned while I was there and evidence of the room merely being turned down was done since the dead bugs found in the room were not removed from the floor during my stay. Be mindful if staying in the swim out rooms that the sliding door to the pool do not have a handle to pull the door back open, you could leave the door open with the screen door closed but the ac will turn off (as it should to preserve energy).
There were a lot of nice amenities in the room, I was given an upgrade to preferred so this may affect what was provided in the room, but they give you a small sample of sunscreen and mosquito repellent (I used what was provided in the room and my own repellent and still got bit up so bear that in mind if you are sensitive to mosquito bites). There was a beach bag that you get to keep, robes, slippers, a sewing kit, shower cap, and very nice soap, shampoo conditioner and lotion provided. The room also has a large safe, ample storage, no vanity area, but a small extendable mirror with a light for makeup application (which you will need to stand to utilize). The breakfast was lack luster in flavor and was very "American". The dinner restaurants were better but lacked seasoning at the outdoor grill restaurant. The French restaurant was far better in terms of taste. "
"The room was spotless. Bed was a little soft for my likeness however that is personal preference. The staff were great. The pool and spa were also great. The beach area was ok. It was rocky in spots. The food was so/so. Some of the restaurants were better than others, but overall I was satisfied. The only complaint I would have is that the they try to get you to buy into the Hyatt vacation club. I don’t like being pressured into a timeshare when I’m on vacation. I would highly recommended upgrading to the preferred ocean view. The view was gorgeous and the breeze on the balcony was perfect. "
"Everythignnwas great! Be aware that the beach thugh is swimable and water was warm on the last couple of days there was quite of bot of seaweed. Though the staff was trying really hard to keep cleaning it up. Food was good. One thing I was diappointed was pizza and coffee. I am not sure how pizza;s were never done. They were baked on top and pretty raw at the bottom. Thank God for the capucinno and expresso at the bar that made up for the coffee. Overall very happy with this respor definitely will go back."
"Our experience at Dreams Resort Tulum was extremely disappointing. At checkout, the resort added a $200 charge for what they claimed were “bodily fluids” on the sheets, when in reality, it was simply makeup. When we questioned the charge, we were threatened with involving the authorities if we didn’t pay.
We were traveling with a large group, and several of us were hit with the same $200 fee for various questionable reasons, which felt unfair and excessive.
To make matters worse, from the very first day, we received early morning calls (as early as 8:00 AM) pressuring us to attend a timeshare presentation. The constant sales pitches followed us throughout the resort and made it difficult to relax and enjoy our vacation.
Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and we will not be returning."
"Super clean room, shuttle service was very responsive, making restaurant reservations was easy (steakhouse has the best food), lots of free activities on property.
Only complaint we were not told we needed close toed shoes for the bike tour so we ended up having to cancel.
Also wish they provided shuttle service from airport."
