✅ Important information about the responsible use of resources (energy and water)
🌐 In all our accommodations we promote a responsible use of energy and water. This not only responds to an environmental need, but also to the high operating costs associated with the excessive use of these services. For this reason, we ask for the collaboration of guests to take care of the resources that we all share.
⚡️ ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ELECTRICITY:
Electricity is included in the stay with a daily limit of consumption, calculated according to the number of bedrooms in the property:
- 3 bedrooms: 25 kWh ~ USD 5 / day
Overage: In case of exceeding the included consumption, an additional USD 30 will be charged for each 100 kWh in excess, which may be fractioned proportionally according to the actual consumption (e.g. 50 additional kWh = USD 15). The payment will be managed by request through Airbnb
💡Tips to reduce consumption:
• Turn off lights, air conditioners and appliances when leaving or when they are not in use.
• Set the air conditioning between 22 °C and 24 °C.
• Keep doors and windows closed when using air conditioning.
• Do not leave chargers or devices connected if they are not in use.
📊 ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: CONSUMPTION CONTROL:
Energy and water consumption are recorded at the entrance and exit of the accommodation. In case of overages, the detailed calculation will be reported and the corresponding collection will be managed by Airbnb before check-out.
We appreciate your partnership in ensuring a responsible, sustainable, and fair stay for all our guests.
! !️ Important: in reservations of 10 days or more, the consumption of electricity (UTE) and water (in homes) will be charged separately, according to measurement at entry and exit.
🔥 ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ELECTRIC UNDERFLOOR HEATING SLAB: In
accommodations that have an electric underfloor heating slab, it is important to know that its use is not included in the electricity consumption included in the stay.
⭕️ Why is it not included?
The underfloor heating is one of the most comfortable heating systems, but also one of the most electrically energy-consuming, especially if it is used incorrectly or left on continuously.
Delivery of the accommodation:
By default, the slab is delivered deactivated at the time of check-in. If the guest wishes to enable it, they must expressly request it, and specific meter measurements will be taken before and after use to calculate the exact additional cost.
💰 Estimation of slab use consumption and costs by number of bedrooms:
An estimated daily consumption in moderate and intensive use is given below. The amounts are by way of suggestion and could vary downwards or upwards.
2 bedrooms: USD 15 to 35
3 bedrooms: USD 20 to 45
These amounts are added to the consumption of theRegular surgery, which is also measured during the stay. In all cases, the payment is made through Airbnb and the guest is informed in advance.
✅ Recommendations:
• Ask us if you want to activate the slab. We advise you on the correct use to avoid surprises.
- Use at cheaper times of electricity consumption.
• If you are looking for spot heating, you can use air conditioning (lower consumption).
• Avoid keeping the slab on all day or with windows open: this multiplies consumption and costs.
- Use the slab at a temperature of 18°C and 24°C. Any additional °C can have an exponential impact on consumption.
- Keep in mind that the slab takes several hours to heat.
🛁 ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ABOUT HOT WATER: In
Uruguay, most homes – including this accommodation – use electric water heaters to heat water. Unlike other countries such as Brazil (where electric showers are used) or Argentina (with gas boilers), hot water here is not unlimited.
The water heater works like a water heater: it stores a certain amount of water that it keeps warm by means of a heating element. Depending on the size of the equipment, the hot water available can be enough for:
• 1 long shower,
• 2 short showers in a row,
• or 3 short showers if they are done with a break between one and the other.
Once the hot water is depleted, the water heater needs approximately 30 to 60 minutes to fully reheat it.
✅ Recommendations: If several people shower, the ideal is to leave an interval between baths so that the water heater has time to recover its temperature. In large groups, it's important to come up with some logistics to avoid the need to shower one after the other.
