"My only surprise was that parking was not included, it was an additional $45 which I thought was high for the price I paid for the room. The only other complaint is the room was much more than I needed, included a full kitchen and all I needed was a room with a bed."

"Very nice hotel walkable to many great restaurants and core downtown area. Parking is $45 a night. Breakfast is good but was not replenished- got there an hour before closing and no yogurts, muffins etc. They did refill milk and hot water upon request. Not a huge issue though. Rooms were very nice, well equipped which was greatly appreciated. "

"We love Portsmouth--so walkable, such interesting galleries and restaurants and more. And we always stay at the Hotel Portsmouth. Great location, free parking, great rooms, great breakfast. This time we paid a little extra for the upgrade to a Superior King and felt it was well worth it. Even though we're just two people, the extra room--and two separate seating areas--mattered a lot."

"Clean, comfortable room and beds. Lacking available, working outlets for devices. Had advertised breakfast but was actually unavailable - wished that had been updated on the listing due to renovations. Staff was friendly and we did feel safe. Short drive to downtown and good value for the price."
