"WOW!! I rented a cabin on the ocean side of the hotel, and it was WONDERFUL hearing the ocean crashing from my bed each morning and evening. I live in Guatemala, so my standards for facilities have been affected accordingly. This is a beach cabin with a thatch roof and you CAN SEE through the cracks on the floorboards. This area of Guatemala is HOT all year round, but there is a fan in the cabin which helps immensely. The bathroom was not fancy, and you could see the ground beneath the shower...

"Hotel El Faro is a beautiful hotel by the beach with a big swimming pool and a pool bar. The staff at the restaurant and bar were excellent and helpful. Also the cleaning staff was very nice and cooperative with cleaning hours. Our problem was the management of the hotel. The manager would not let all members of our group to check in to the hotel as the hotel had some connection problem with Expedia. Le service de l'accueil est mauvais car très long avant de trouver notre villa qui était déjà payée en même temps que la réservation depuis très longtemps. Nous avons demandé une nuit supplémentaire avec insistance mais impossible de rejoindre le propriétaire selon l'accueil. Je recommande vivement Villa Los Cabos...
