"This place was great for our sister weekend! Everything very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Host was receptive to questions beforehand and answered quickly. We enjoyed Mexican food at El Camino nearby. If we are in the area again we will definitely consider another stay!!"

"Basic townhouse with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Can walk to downtown Ferndale. Am very annoyed about the large damage deposit which was charged when I booked months ago and then took nearly 2 weeks to be refunded. Owner says it's up to VRBO. How about a hold at check in?"

"The space was comfortable for our family of 4 while we were in town. Walkable to downtown was nice. Hoped the breakfast would include homemade or local items but was a basic store bought selection, less than a continental hotel breakfast. Guests should be okay with street noise when staying in this unit. Nicely decorated!"

You can tell the host is in the process of trying to upgrade some things, but it doesn't impair any functionality. "I cannot rate this place high enough. The owner was most generous and kind…even suggested an excellent spot, Toast, for breakfast. The condo itself was welcoming with every possible detail covered! We slept like babies! She quiet! We loved our time in Royal Oak and the location was a perfect little drive to Comerica park for a Tigers game!"

"This place was terrible. Should never have been listed. Ceilings dirty, previously wet and sagging. Carpet ripped and FILTHY. Horrible patchwork pink paint covering dirt and graffiti in the hallway. Host never responded with entry information. It was all bad. Vrbo did set me up in a hotel for 3 of my 5 nights then I had to find lodging for the rest of my stay Awaiting my refund for that."
