Hitou Hanabun

"Hotel Hanabun was a great ryokan experience! It is nestled in the mountains offering a peaceful getaway from touristy/crowded areas. It had the best onsen water, even the locals went there to bathe! The hosts and staff are all friendly and accommodating to your needs. Google translate was necessary to communicate, but everyone is very patient. The food was incredibly delicious, and they use locally sourced, fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy ryokan. "

"Nicer Ryokan for the area. Obvious reason to stay is to visit the Shibu Onsen facilities and the Snow Monkey Park and this is a great option for those activities. Pretty close to the Shiga Kogen resort. Check the Map before booking as it is not in Nagano despite the address. Diner and breakfast with Half board was very good and staff were friendly and helpful.
