"The hotel was clean overall, and the staff was pleasant. However, our room had a wet spot on the floor right in front of the balcony door, which was a little concerning. The bed was also not very comfortable — it felt like a spring was about to come through the mattress at any moment, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The hot tub was not hot, which was disappointing, and the breakfast was just okay. Other than those issues, it’s a decent hotel for a short stay."

"This is my go to spot when I’m in St. Augustine. It’s always clean and always quiet. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The staff members are always so friendly and they have a lot of knowledge about everything to do in the area. As a person who frequently travels with a pet, this is one of the few hotels I’ve been in that doesn’t give downgraded rooms to pet owners. The pet-friendly rooms are just as nice as the no-pet rooms. Smart Stay Inn is a hidden gem that I’m so happy that I found!"

"I only stayed for a quick overnight, but the staff was very friendly and kind, and my room was clean and comfortable. Some stuff in the building is a little old, but the maintenance team is clearly working hard to keep everything running well. It's not clearly marked, but there is parking behind the building, so you're not stuck if you don't see any available spots out front!"
