「This property is not what the pictures show! Those photos must be decades old! It is not a bright blue fresh painted place. It is not well-maintained. When we pulled in my kid screamed "Bates Motel!" The exterior was not maintained at all. It had weathered and gray boards with mold all over. We wanted a lodge vibe while in the mountains, but I could have stayed in a nicer hotel for the money I spent here! The hall and stairs and room carpet were nasty and smelled. My bathroom smelled like urine....

「The facility was clean and the suite was as pictured but the QUALITY of the items was horrible. The bed sheets were thin and worn; the elastic on the fitted sheet was so worn that it did not grip the mattress. The refrigerator was emitting a high pitched whine as if it was about to fail. The bedspread was so thin it was nearly transparent, as the blanket. Many lightbulbs were burnt out. Too many people hanging out in the parking lot as well.」

「The house was nice enough. That wasn't the problem. The ad was misleading. We were 1.5 miles from the indoor and outdoor pools. There were no walking paths or sidewalks to the pool. The lake was not Lake Lure and we were also over a mile from it as well. The amenities were charged per person and we were charged for 3 full days even though we arrived after pool closing and had to check out by 10 on Monday. Pretty disappointed overall. Won't stay there again.」

「Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The elevator was not working throughout the weekend, and there was no internet service available. The property also had a strong smoke odor, which made the environment uncomfortable. Upon arrival, I found the overall cleanliness and condition of the property below my expectations. "I had mixed feelings about my 3-night stay. On the plus side, the room was clean and cozy. However, the bathroom door was broken and kept opening by itself—I could even see scuff marks where past guests had used the trash can to hold it shut. More importantly, the service at the front desk was very poor. The man working there treated me quite poorly. Having lived abroad, I understood his rude remarks perfectly, which made it all the more frustrating. Despite the nice room, I wouldn't stay here again because of the service. They really need to fix both the door and their staff’s attitude."
