"We have stayed at Koiya (which means small Koifish) for 6 days and couldn't have made a better choice. It is not only a very beautiful traditional Machiya (japanese style wooden house) but also offered a very friendly experience all around. The staff which is there the majority of the day is always very helpful and have given us plenty of tips for our Kyoto itenary. "The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, they kindly allowed me to practice my bad Japanese but they also spoke some English, so it was easy to communicate. "初めて部屋に入った時は、とても広く設備が揃っていて好印象でした。 しかし、清掃が細部までされておらず、正直不快でした。特に酷かったのがお風呂で、敷いてあった簀子の下の床の清掃が全くされておらず、気持ち悪かったです。湯船のお湯を抜くと、排水が詰まって床に溜まり、挙げ句の果てには洗面所まで浸水して散々でした。 和室には敷いてあった布団の他に、タンスの中に布団が入っていましたが、くしゃくしゃに丸められていました。また、前の人のヘアゴムが置いてあったりと、とにかく不快ポイントが高かったです。笑ってしまうほど。 ものは充実している旅館だっただけに、とても残念でした。"

"Village kiramachi is strategically located. It is a beautifully preserved ryokan with modern amenities. My family specifically love the ambience and the warm hospitality which really made us feel welcomed.
