Excellent stays

Location is great, it’s close to Gojo station subway exit that has an elevator, which is good for tourists with luggage. Convenient store and supermarket are nearby as well. The rooms are spacious and clean. Remember to online check-in ahead of time in order to get your room smoothly.

The rooms were small but nice. Definitely a cool kyoto boutique vibe. Amenities were a free for all in boxes up at the front. Overall really clean. The directions to get in could be alittle easier. Like telling the people that the code for the room is for the box that you have to open. We figured it out on our own but 2 other people asked for help because it wasn't directly on the instructions.

The lobby is a little misleading. The place looks so amazing from the outside and the lobby as well. The staff we encountered was very sweet but the rooms were incredibly dirty. The floors and the walls were honestly disgusting. I will upload photos if I could. The floors were carpet meant to look like hard wood and were insanely stained. DO NOT walk in there without some kind of protection for your feet. And the floors had some kind of staining it was so gross. There was also some holes in the wall. Will upload photos if able.

lili kyoto is not a typical hotel. It is small — three units on the ground floor, probably about the same on the floor above (I didn’t take the elevator up to check). It is totally unstaffed; to get in the front door you must obtain a code from the owner/manager. I got mine by having a nice lady in the Kyoto railway station tourist office call the owner/manager, who promptly emailed instructions. The front “lobby” and hallway are unheated. There is no breakfast buffet, no vending machines, none of the usual hotel amenities. That said, it is on a quiet street only three blocks from a subway station and a major intersection with many dining options. Our room was large by Japanese standards and beautiful in its spare design. It had two beds rather than one, and space to spread out a little. The owner/manager was quick to respond to email requests. This is clearly not a place for travelers who like traditional hotels, but it has a charm of its own that to my way of thinking more than compensates for the things it lacks.

Nice and handy, 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. Between Higashiyama Honganji and Nishi Honganji. Close to Karasuma Dori and Gojo Dori for buses and subway. Room was very nice and perfect for one or 2 people. Staff were very welcoming.

As is auto service hotel, staff should be more proactive on access details, questions and requests. Have a WhatsApp POC as eSIM does not allow to call the contact numbers. Impressed guide should be visible and not hidden in the closet as it has key info as Wifi access, rules, cleaning and further details. The hotel was nice, well located close to bus stops and metro station

TLDR: Wrong check-in info & strangers get access to room I was sent the wrong check information and had to wait in the lobby and call them on phone, because they were not reachable otherwise. As a tourist this is really inconvenient because you usually don't have sim cards with a calling option. Other local guests were also not helpful in lending their phone. Later I found out from other foreign tourists about the same problem. And at the last evening, a whole day before our check out, other guests accessed our room with room keys. If we wouldn't have been in the room, strangers could have stole our stuff, just because there is no hotel staff present and they don't have an overview of the booked rooms. They later asked me what the right room no. of those strangers was. Very confused staff. Look at the Google Maps reviews

Vi hadde ikke mottatt melding med kode til hotellet og rominformasjon på grunn av dårlig nettforbindelse. Vi fikk umiddelbar hjelp via whatsapp på nummeret som var skrevet utenfor hotellet. Enkel og grei innsjekk. Fint rom, likte veldig godt estetikken. Gulvet i hovedrommet var ikke parkett, men et slags teppe som ser ut som parkett. Det var dermed lett å se flekker her som sannsynligvis er vanskelig å vaske bort. Badet og dusjen så veldig rent ut. Badet hadde tregulv som også så rent ut. Vi kunne ta med tøfler, håndklær og diverse fra resepsjonen etter behov. Vi kunne også henge klær i garderobe og bruke kjøleskap på rommet. Aircondition var tilgjengelig i toppen av garderobe, men den blåste rett på sengene, så måtte vær forsiktig med bruken for å ikke bli syke av trekken. Totalt sett veldig fint rom til god pris, og kan gjerne anbefale å bo her!

チェックインがわからず、連絡先電話にかけても切断になり、不明点があっても問い合わせできない。それで４０分以上無駄にし、さらに部屋も誰が使ったかわからない綿棒が落ちていたり、廊下のすみはホコリだらけ、洗面所の壁紙もワインん染みのように汚れていた。写真とは違い残念でした。

立地は良かったです。コスパ良いです。新しい設備なのにお掃除がであまりできていないのが残念。スリッパ、コロコロ、ウェットティッシュを持参された方がいいと思う　外出は非日常の空間を味わいたいので　清潔は大切 たぶん利用する事はないけど　スタッフがゼロ『お掃除の方は外国人の方々がいました』日本人のお掃除の仕方と違うのかな　帰りまでにスタッフさんとは合わず　無人宿と言ってもいいかな。 女性1人だと　怖い気もする。 京都はインバウンド多く　宿を沢山作っていますね。　民泊も増えてるから　こちらに限らず　宿探しはこれから気をつけたい。

キレイなお部屋にコスパよく泊まりたいなら、おすすめです。 必要最低限のサービスで、スタッフはいらっしゃらないので、自分でカードをとって部屋に入るスタイルになります。 カードの受け取りが指定された方法でできなかったため、電話で確認するやり取りが発生しました。 その辺りがスムーズになるとより快適だったかなと思います。 四条河原町と京都駅の中間ぐらいで、アクセスもいいです。

困った時に電話しても、コールセンターの人の対応が冷たくて雑に扱わらている感じがして非常に不愉快だった。エアコンが木の柵で覆われているため、エアコンの風が直接こなくて効きが悪いので、柵は取った方が良いと思った。部屋自体は清潔で快適でよかった。

Der Check-In ist darauf ausgelegt vollautomatisch und ohne Personal zu funktionieren. Leider gab es bei uns Probleme bei der E-Mail Zustellung des Codes, sodass wir vor Ort niemanden antreffen konnten zur Lösung des Problems und unter der im Eingang angegebenen Nummer in einer Hotline gelandet sind. Dies hat uns knapp 2 Stunden sowie die Telefongebühren gekostet. Zimmer sind aber super.

フロントはチェックイン時もチェックアウト時も人がいないことに驚ました。部屋にそのまま向かうのも、鍵が開いた状態で、中に鍵があるのも不思議でしたが、宿泊自体にはなんの問題もありませんでした。部屋も清潔で、木の香りがしました。このお値段だとかなりお手頃だと思います。
