"Very friendly easy check in especially because we checked in very late as didn’t have time before our event. Very nice little motel for Perth and reasonably priced would definitely recommend. They have also did some renovations and it shows. "

"I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience at the Colonial! The motel room was very clean, updated, and comfortable. The outside of the motel was well-lit, so I felt safe coming and going at night. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I've been coming to Perth every August for 30 years, but this is my first time staying at one of the motels in town. I'm happy to say it was a great experience and I'll be recommending the Colonial to my family as well :)"
"Beautiful property, wonderful pool and the staff is the best. We came in with chemical allergy issues. They went above and beyond to make sure my spouse was comfortable. Can’t say enough about their care and understanding. And the breakfast was delightful and they also took care of our gluten sensitivities..wonderful experience"
"My husband and I had a wonderful couple of days at Hotel Kenney. This vintage hotel is rustic but unique and the setting right at Jones Falls Lock is spectacular! Lots of interesting sites in the area to explore, especially for history buffs. If dining at the hotel, expect a leisurely experience but know that the meal is well worth the wait! Sunday brunch was amazing, so many choices! We stayed in Hilltop cabin. The queen bed was very comfortable. Just a heads up: the shower stall is quite small. Jeff went out of his way to make us feel welcome and to ensure that our stay was enjoyable! "
"It was a central location for our activities. It was good value for what we got. Loved the walk in walk out with anything to car. Would recommend and come again"
Thousand Island Kingston Cozy Two Bedroom Cottage + DINNER & BREAKFAST(EXTRA)
10/10 Excellent
"Loved our stay! I loved this location as well! Perfectly between Toronto and Montreal! And also close to thousand islands! Loved it! Was very clean and well organized! We chose to also get the food offered for amazing prices! Honestly think this was worth more than what we paid! Thank you for the perfect experience! Definitely hope to get the chance to come back! "
"Online information false/misleading and the property is completely unsuitable for anyone with even minor mobility issues. I was booked for two nights but left after one and went to a motel.
- notwithstanding what the website advertises, this cabin does NOT have a bathroom. A bathroom is available in the main house, 50 or so meters away. It is not separate from the host's living space (i.e. not private). To use the bathroom at night, you will need a flashlight (and an umbrella anytime it's raining).
- although it advertises having a kitchen, there is no running water (cabin is not plumbed). There is a jug of water and a sink that drains into a bucket.
- second floor loft bedroom has a ceiling only about 4 feet high. Average person cannot stand up to dress in that space. Extremely awkward moving around (hands and knees)
- ladder from main floor to bedroom is an attic-style, pull down staircase. One can navigate reasonably well going up but descending its very steep slope is treacherous; it's an accident waiting to happen (nowhere near what the building code requires for staircases)
- view from the cabin is the main house, a laundry line and parked vehicles
Rustic in the extreme, but much better than a tent. For the price, would have expected much, much more.
Probably OK for youthful, adventurous types.
Hosts friendly. I get what they are doing but project poorly executed.
