「We had to inquire with the owner about the lodge as no information about check-in was provided in advance. However, when I inquired with the owner, she informed me immediately. The bed sheets were not set and we had to make the beds ourselves. We had to wash the sheets and towels ourselves and check out, which I would only recommend to those who have enough time. Because of the many rules, I thought it would be a problem for people staying there if they were not posted on the website.」

House itself had plenty of room, with a spacious common room with fireplace as well as firewood/kindling/coal provided. Radiators in every room for heat, which was needed even during our summer stay. Wish we could have stayed every night of our vacation here. With that said it was the perfect pairing for the night before our visit to Hobbiton.
