Beautiful Lakeside Cottage - on private lake

Fully furnished cottage overlooks a beautiful spring fed four acre pond. Lakeside Cottage is new and has wood floors, farmhouse sink, silestone counters, central heat/air and a beautiful gas log stove for fall/winter ambiance. Perfect for a family retreat or a romantic getaway. Located on our 63 acre working ranch, Pine Grove Cottage is tucked away on its own corner of the property. A sun room can double as a third bedroom as the daybed there can convert to two twin beds. An open family room/kitchen is perfect for family gatherings. Fishing on the lakes is available on a "catch and release" basis to ensure our fishing stays good for future guests. Lakes are stocked with bass, catfish and bream. .Just 10 minutes to Los Pinos Ranch Vineyard Winery (Pittsburg) and also within 30 to 45 minutes of several other small wineries.

The ranch abounds with wildlife and provides a wonderful opportunity for birdwatching due to its forest and lake features. It is also in a migratory area that is home for many birds (including Bald Eagles) in the fall/winter months.

Canoes and boats are provided for those who want to go out on the lakes to fish or just relax. Located within 15 minutes of Pittsburg, Gilmer, and Winnsboro, guests can experience life in the country but enjoy the amenities of a town. In the summer, fresh peaches, blackberries and blueberries are sold at nearby orchards. Golfing, a winery and a variety of restaurants are within 15 minutes of the ranch. For those who enjoy antiques, there are many shops within 15-30 minutes of the ranch.

The hidden gem of tranquility
I was pleasantly surprised by the experience on booking this cabin, it went beyond my expectations in many ways. 1. Owner provides homemade jam and biscuits for the first morning. You can also buy fresh range free eggs for a discount. We left the rental with 12 dozen of eggs. 😅 2. Cabin is stocked with almost everything you beed, fully equipped kitchen, baths with all toiletries, strong 5G wifi and smart TV 3. Backyard has 2 boats with paddles/oars and you have both adult and kids life vests provided. Just do not forget to put the rear drain plug when you get it in the water.😉 Bring your fishing pole and enjoy some bass or other fish(catch and release) 4. You have backyard charcoal coal grill (bring your own charcoal) and the fire pit with wood provided 5. You can visit the ranch, watch the horses and cattles, yell at the turkeys, feed the chickens 6. You can take a hike to their property across the street, go around a bigger lake in the shade 7. When night comes and the lights are off, the magic starts...you can see Milky Way and all the stars in their glory, it is so dark and quiet that really is an oasis of pecey. 8. You have orchards close, wineries, cowboy church, Winsboro fall festival, family restaurants and other stuff If you want a retreat, quiet and peace, this is definitely the place. And the hosts are wonderful and very helpful. They really care about you as their guest.
