We were pleasantly pleased with this quaint historic building that is the Hotel Julian. The room was clean and spacious. The lower floors do not have very good views from the windows because of the tall buildings next door, so if you are claustrophobic, definitely try to get floors on the fourth or higher levels. We were on the 5th floor. For the reasonable price we paid for the room this hotel is fabulous!
Parking in San Francisco is difficult, luckily there’s a very reliable parking garage up the street (on Sutter…a two minute walk). Take into account that this adds another $30-$50 a day to your room cost.
The location of the hotel can’t be beat! It’s close to Union Square (10 min walk), Knob Hill, Chinatown and even the wharf is reasonably close if you like the exercise (1.6 miles).
We felt very safe walking, but just be aware of your surroundings because it does borderline the Tenderloin district.
Also, catching an Uber in this town is very easy from the Hotel Julian location. We would definitely stay here again!

Clean Room, welcoming staff, Breakfast and dinner optiosn are limited but high quality in the rooftop bar, very business friendly with proximity to Moscone, the rooftop bar, and Coffee bar in the lobby, plenty of meet up and social engagement opportunities.

I took the airport shuttle to the airport, then caught the BART and walked to the center. All together, the trip took a total of about 1hr
